AI & Power Discourse Quarterly was created to study a problem that conventional AI debate often treats as secondary: how automated language systems reorganize authority, legitimacy, and political visibility.

Language models do more than generate text: once embedded in institutions, they can influence how legitimacy is framed, attributed, and operationalized.

The influence of AI on linguistics and governance is not limited to better text generation. It changes how institutions classify, summarize, recommend, and define legitimate action.
